Cleaning and Prevention
At your initial dental visit, our dentist will provide you with a complete examination. This include regular checkups and X-rays (radiographs) to detect decay, tumors, cysts, or bone loss.
Our dental exam also includes oral cancer screening, gum disease evaluation as well as an evaluation of any tooth decay.
As part of your appointment, our registered dental hygienist will perform a professional dental cleaning (dental prophylaxis). You'll have a dental exam and the following cleaning procedures:
- Removal of calculus (tartar)
- Removal of plaque
- Teeth polishing
